Slavic Apothecary, Sheridan Wyoming.

Some sort of Slavic apothecary in Sheridan, Wyoming.  As I'm not otherwise familiar with it, and as the green in such shops tends to indicate products I'd just as soon avoid, that's all I know.

It is, I'd note, very unusual in this part of the country to see anything in a Slavic language outside of Rock Springs, which traditionally had an Eastern European population.  Sheridan, on the other hand, has traditionally had a much more English population and is a ranching center.

Hotel Crescent, Sheridan Wyoming

This is a photograph of the Hotel Crescent sign on what was formerly that hotel, in Sheridan Wyoming.

Sheridan has one of the best preserved old downtown's in Wyoming.  It never really fell into a state of disrepair and the old buildings largely remain in use, if not in their original uses.  For that reason, if this blog was done correctly, there's be a large number of Sheridan photographs here.  For whatever reason, however, whenever I'm in Sheridan I tend to be a bit pressed for time, so I've never taken the time to photograph the numerous old buildings that deserve to be here on this site.  I've done better, in regard to Sheridan, with our Churches of the West blog.

Best Out West elevator, Sheridan Wyoming

Old elevator in Sheridan Wyoming. This elevator belonged to the Best Out West flour mill, and apparently this was the mill. The hotel next to it is named after the mill.
